No illnesses have been reported yet. Multiple Coles mixed salad leaf products with use-by dates up to and including 09/04/2025 are affected. Products were sold at Coles Supermarkets, Coles Local stores and via Coles Online in 7 states.
Who's At Risk?
People of any age can become infected. Very young children and the elderly are more likely to develop severe illness and hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) than others, but even healthy older children and young adults can become seriously ill.
Symptoms
E. coli STEC 026 can cause diarrhea, severe stomach cramps and vomiting. Most people recover within a week, but some illnesses can last longer and can be more severe.
