Who's At Risk?
Infants and young children, pregnant women, people with liver disease, individuals infected with hepatitis B or C, and populations regularly consuming contaminated grains or peanuts.
Symptoms
Aflatoxin exposure symptoms include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, jaundice (yellowing of skin/eyes), liver damage, and in severe cases liver failure or death.
