Premature infants, infants under 2 months of age, or infants with weakened immune systems.
Symptoms
Cronobacter bacteria can cause severe, life-threatening infections such as sepsis or meningitis. Symptoms may include poor feeding, irritability, temperature changes, jaundice, grunting breaths, and abnormal movements. Infection may also cause bowel damage that can spread to other parts of the body.
