88 people sick & 9 hospitalized across 4 provinces as part of a Salmonella outbreak to date. 2 additional products, each packaged in 1 lb units and produced between March 27 and May 31, 2025, and April 22 and May 30, 2025, are recalled. Affected products were sold at butcher shops in 1 province. Investigation is ongoing.

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
Symptoms
Symptoms may include fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (which may be bloody), and abdominal pain. In rare cases, the organism can get into the bloodstream and producing more severe illness such as arterial infections (i.e. infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
