Who's At Risk?
Industrial workers (battery manufacturing, metal smelting), smokers, people exposed to contaminated food or water, and individuals living near industrial or polluted areas exposed to Cadmium.
Symptoms
Exposure may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea (acute ingestion); lung irritation, cough, and breathing difficulty (inhalation); and with long-term exposure, kidney damage, bone pain or fragility, fatigue, and anemia.
