Who's At Risk?
Young children, pregnant women, elderly individuals, and people with cardiovascular or underlying health conditions are more vulnerable. High or repeated exposure may increase the risk of serious toxic effects.
Symptoms
Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, dizziness, tingling or numbness, muscle pain, and reduced blood flow to the hands and feet. Severe exposure may lead to convulsions, hallucinations, or serious circulatory problems such as tissue damage (ergotism).
