Who's At Risk?
People working in industrial settings, firefighters, smokers, and individuals exposed to smoke from enclosed-space fires or cyanide-containing chemicals are at greatest risk of hydrogen cyanide poisoning.
Symptoms
Headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, confusion, rapid breathing, and shortness of breath. Severe exposure can cause seizures, loss of consciousness, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and death.
