No illnesses have been reported to date. All lot numbers of 2lb Kitten Grind, Kitten Mix and Puppy Mix products are recalled. Products are distributed and sold in 16 states.
Who's At Risk?
Pets consuming the products and humans - especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans.
Symptoms
Pets with Salmonella and Listeria infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain.
