Products are sold nationwide in retail stores such as Sprouts Farmers Market, Bristol Farms & others. Investigation ongoing.
Who's At Risk?
Children under 5 years old, older adults and persons with weakened immune systems.
Symptoms
Symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea (often bloody). Some may develop a more severe infection - Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), a type of kidney failure marked by easy bruising, pallor, and decreased urine output. The condition can lead to serious kidney damage and even death.
