Affected cucumbers were grown by Bedner Growers and sold to restaurants, retailers, wholesalers, and distributors nationwide between April 29 - May 19, 2025. Products may have also been sold individually or in smaller packages. Do not consume these cucumbers. If you're dining out this week, be cautious and ask about ingredients.
Who's At Risk?
Salmonella mainly impacts young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Most healthy adults and children rarely become seriously ill after exposure to Salmonella.
Symptoms
Symptoms may include fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (which may be bloody), and abdominal pain. In rare cases, the organism can get into the bloodstream and producing more severe illness such as arterial infections (i.e. infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
