Norovirus Outbreak
Severity
Multiple people reported sick in Utah to date. Additional oysters (frozen, raw, half-shell, and IQF), harvested between December 30, 2024, and August 7, 2025, from Designated Area No. 1, processed by JBR KR-15-SP, and marked with multiple lot codes, are recalled. Products were sold in 5 states and may have also reached other states.
Who's At Risk?
People of all ages can get infected and sick with norovirus. Young children, older adults and people with compromised immune systems are at high risk.
Symptoms
The most common symptoms of norovirus are diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, and stomach pain. Other symptoms include fever, headache, and body ache. Symptoms develop 12 to 48 hours after exposure.
