Who's At Risk?
Pregnant women, young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. These groups are more sensitive to radiation and may face greater long-term health risks, including a higher chance of serious complications.
Symptoms
Low-level Cesium-137 (Cs-137) radiation exposure does not cause immediate illness. The concern is long-term exposure, which can increase cancer risk and may damage cells and tissues over time.
