Who's At Risk?
Cats that are fed diets low in thiamine (Vitamin B1) over time may develop a thiamine deficiency, since thiamine is essential for their health.
Symptoms
Symptoms may be gastrointestinal or neurological. Early signs include decreased appetite, salivation, vomiting, failure to grow, and weight loss. In advanced cases, cats may develop ventroflexion of the neck, mental dullness, vision changes, wobbly walking, circling, falling, and seizures.
