4 (1 new) infants were hospitalized across 3 states between April and May 2026. This update confirms Clostridium botulinum in an opened can. All lots/batches currently on the market are affected. Products were sold nationwide at Target stores and online via Target.com and Nara.com between July 2025 and June 2026. Do not buy, use, distribute, or feed the recalled formula. Testing of unopened cans is ongoing, with more results expected in the coming weeks.

Symptoms
Most infants with infant botulism will initially develop constipation, poor feeding, loss of head control, and difficulty swallowing, which can progress to difficulty breathing and respiratory arrest. If untreated, it can cause a progressive, flaccid paralysis that can lead to breathing difficulties and require weeks of hospitalization.
