No illnesses have been reported yet. More than 19 million eggs are recalled. 35 products (including white and brown shell eggs) are affected. Products were sold in 6 states through Kroger, Brookshire's, other retailers, and foodservice channels between June 6 - July 3, 2026.
Who's At Risk?
Salmonella mainly impacts young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Most healthy adults and children rarely become seriously ill after exposure to Salmonella.
Symptoms
Symptoms may include fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (which may be bloody), and abdominal pain. Illness usually occurs within 12 to 72 hours after eating contaminated food. In rare cases, the organism can get into the bloodstream resulting in severe illnesses such as arterial infections, endocarditis and arthritis.
