Contaminated oysters can cause illness if eaten raw, particularly in people with compromised immune systems.
Symptoms
Most people with salmonellosis develop diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. People infected with pathogenic E. coli develop severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, fever, nausea, and/or vomiting.
