No illnesses have been reported yet. Affected products were imported from British Columbia, Canada harvested on 10/17/2023. Products were distributed to restaurants and sold at retailers in California, Washington, and possibly other states.
Who's At Risk?
Oysters with high levels of Vibrio parahaemolyticus can cause illness if eaten raw which can be severe in people with compromised immune systems.
Symptoms
Symptoms may include diarrhea (bloody), abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, and fever.
