No illnesses have been reported yet. 2 products are recalled. Products are packaged in 10-oz clear plastic clamshell containers and marked with code P34657 inside the USDA mark. Affected products were sold in 3 states.
Who's At Risk?
Pregnant women, young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems. This is because Listeria is more likely to spread beyond their gut to other parts of their body, resulting in a severe condition known as invasive listeriosis.
Symptoms
Listeria infection can cause miscarriages, stillbirths, premature delivery, or life-threatening infection of the newborn in pregnant women. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. It can also take up to 10 weeks for some people to have symptoms.
