2 complaints received, but no adverse reactions have been reported yet. Affected products labeled as beef and burrata may actually contain shrimp filling in lobster sauce and bear establishment number “EST. 44870.” Products were sold at Costco stores in 2 states between March 10 and April 21, 2026.
Who's At Risk?
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to shrimp or lobster (shellfish) run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
Symptoms
Symptoms of allergic reaction include: hives, flushed skin or rash, tingling or itchy sensation in the mouth, swelling of the face, tongue, or lips, vomiting and/or diarrhea, abdominal cramps, coughing or wheezing, swelling of the throat and vocal cords, difficulty breathing, and loss of consciousness.
