Beef kofta products bearing establishment number “EST. 18743” are linked to an E. coli outbreak. Products were sold at The Kebab Shop restaurant locations in 3 states starting January 6, 2026. Consumers should discard any leftover beef kofta from The Kebab Shop. Investigation is ongoing.

Symptoms
Symptoms include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, fever, nausea, and/or vomiting. Some infections can cause severe bloody diarrhea and lead to life-threatening conditions such as hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), chronic kidney disease, or neurologic problems.
